These courses start as of the week of September 20th and run for 12 weeks.

Children improve their basketball skills in a friendly and competitive
atmosphere. Each class includes drills (focusing on physical fitness,
ball handling, and shooting precision) and game time. The basic rules
of the game and sportsmanship are enforced.

Parents are welcome to spend quality time with their children in our gymnasium on Saturday mornings. Participants have access to our gymasium and indoor equipment. These include hoola hoops, floor mats, badminton nets, and a variety of sports balls.

Children learn basic acrobatics and gymnastics skills. They practice exercises that requires balance, strength, and cooperation with other gymnasts. They are encouraged to develop at their own pace and achieve new skills in a progressive program. They develop useful physical skills such as flexibility, strength, coordination, spatial perception, balance, and much more. Children learn basic floor gymnastics moves including cartwheels, headstands, rolls, and standoffs in a non-competitive atmosphere.

Children improve
their floor hockey skills through a mixture of stick handling drills and game
play. The basic rules of hockey and sportsmanship are taught during the
session. All equipment is provided.

Children play games with a variety of sports and leisure equipment with the guidance of an animator.

This Chito Ryu class is suitable for beginners
regardless of their experience in martial arts. This karate style invloves both
discipline and in fun. It is a good way to learn self defense and stay in
shape. Two separate classes, separated by age, are offered to children between
the ages of 6 and 11, and another for adults and children together. The
parent-children class on Fridays 6 - 7:30 pm gives parents an opportunity to do a
fun activity with their children from 6 - 17. Adults who do not have children
are also welcome to take the course.
Equipment: the uniform is not required for
beginners, but sports clothing (pants or shorts and a t-shirt) are suggested.

Children improve their basic soccer skills (ball handling, passing, offensive and defensive techniques) through a mixture of drills and game play. Two instructors are provided and the class is taught indoors in a gymnasium. The basic rules of soccer and general rules of sportsmanship are taught during the session.
