Dance Schedule for Children |

These courses start the week of September 27th and run for 10 weeks.

Children learn classical
dance techniques through technical and strength-training exercises both on the
bar and on the floor. Students learn
body awareness and explore their physical creativity. This is an enjoyable class open to all those, experienced and

Children learn jazz
moves based on classical principles.
Each class involves stretching, rhythm training, coordination exercises,
and simple choreography.

Learn the graceful Brazilian martial art dance of capoeira. Uniting the elegance of a dancer with the ferocity of a fighter, this art form celebrates the freedom that lies within all of us.

A fun dance program
created for children ages 6-8. Using a variety of ethnic music from around the world, we explore
creativity and movement in dance forms and games.

to the world of Hip Hop! A fun exercise, hip hop is performed
with choreographed moves inspired by rhythm and feeling. An excellent
way to improve your coordination in a way that is

Parents and children are invited to join this
creative dance class to explore their intuitive body movements while listening
to fun music. Parents and children also
learn how to dance together and as part of a group.

 Mama dances is a dance class which brings mothers together with their babies in
a temporary community of music, playful physical excercise, creative dance
expression, exploration and connection. It is a simple activity designed to
unlock, motivate and engage kinetic, physical energy, while being with your baby
(2-12 mos.). Experience in movement techniques is not required to
participate in this class. It is open to all. Bring comfortable loose-fitting
clothing.
