This course is intended for people who would like to improve their basic skills in written and spoken German. Teaching tools include group discussion along with audio and video cassettes.
|
|
|
Beginner: This course is aimed at people with a very basic level of comprehension in English. During the course we cover everyday usage of grammar and contemporary conversation. The teacher will use conversation, group work, audio tapes, cds and handouts.

|
|
This is basic beginner’s Arabic. Students will learn the alphabet, basic grammar, and useful words and phrases. Also included is conversational Arabic, the writing of words, names and short sentences. The course should be of interest to anyone planning a trip to the Middle-East or simply wanting to learn this important world language.

|
Beginners: This cours is for those with no or little knowledge of Chinese. Students learn basic expressions and rules through grammar exercises and conversation. Students are encouraged to dialogue in a group setting and practice outside of class to improve their understanding and comprehension.

|
Beginner level: This course addresses the needs of students who are new or who understand a little bit of Spanish. The grammar exercises and directed conversations are designed to allow the student to comprehend basic Spanish expressions and constructions. Students will engage in dialogues and practice giving instructions and directions to improve their conversational skills.
Level 2: This course is for students who took the beginner level of Spanish or have a basic knowledge of the language. The purpose of the course is to reinforce and increase the knowledge of language structure and grammar and, at the same time, generate improved skills in oral expression. The class is given entirely in Spanish.

Beginner : This
course is for those with little or no knowledge of french. Vocabulary and grammar exercices are
performed to enable the students to engage in conversation. Students are encouraged to freely converse
with each other and work in small groups.
Class activites teach participants useful expressions and basic rules of
french in order to improve their conversation abilities.
Level 2 : This
course is for those who have finished the beginner french cours or who have
mastered the basics of the french language.
The goal of this course is to reinforce basic grammar rules and widen
the student's vocabulary while perfecting their conversational abilities. A large portion of the class is based on
conversation which encourage students to use typical french expressions and
grammar taught during class. The majority
of the course is taught in french.
Intermediate :
This course is for those who have finished the Level 2 course and have mastered
the basics of conversation and written french.
The student will learn more advanced rules of grammar. Emphasis is on conversation, dialogue, and
working on short sketches.
Advanced
level : This course is for those
who have a sound base in grammar and written french. This course is based on the writing of short texts of different
genres (fiction, reporting, scripts for theatre, letters, etc.) and the study
of existing literature. These students
will learn how to express themselves according to different situations. There is constant interaction, teamwork, and
sharing of ideas during each class.
Conversation
(Intermediate/Advanced) : This course is for those who have completed the
intermediate or advanced level. This
course uses a variety of resources to encourage conversation and vocabulary
(songs, news articles, videos, etc.).
Students are taught typical expressions and idioms used day-to-day.

Beginners level: This course is for those with little or no understanding of Italian. The fundamentals of grammar and initiating conversation are the main elements of this course.
Level 2: This course is for students who took beginner’s level Italian or who already have a basic knowledge of the language. The purpose of the course is to increase grammar knowledge and to generate better oral expression.

Beginner level: This introductory Japanese course is designed for students who have little or no knowledge of the Japanese language. By the end of the course, students will have mastered some basic sentence structures that will enable them to hold simple conversations.
Level 2: This course is a continuation of Japanese (beginner’s level) and will further the mastery of various phrases and grammar needed for daily interactions and conversations. You will gain the language skills to hold conversations and handle situations including invitations, proposals and requests.

Beginners level: This course is for those with little or no understanding of Portuguese. Fundamentals of grammar and an emphasis on conversation are the main elements of this course based on the dialect of Portuguese spoken in Brazil, though it also includes some reference to Portuguese spoken in Portugal.
Intermediate level: This course is for those with a basic understanding of Portuguese. Emphasis is on grammar, reading, writing and conversation. Video presentations, magazines, and an introduction to Brazilian culture and traditions are all included. This course is based on the Portuguese spoken in Brazil but it also makes some reference to Portuguese spoken in Portugal.
